Breakfast, as usual, at Cracker Barrel, then fill up Dixie's gas tank.
Remember when $2.35/gallon was high?  On to the Sevierville
Chamber of Commerce, then to Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum,
where mention of the real Moose Hase got us a warm welcome from
Floyd.  Are you a gear head?  You gotta see this museum!!
We took Mr. Hase and Li'l
Jeremy #85 with us, and they
had a blast, as did we.  Great
memories of cars we had or
wanted desperately to have.
This 1940 original Ford has
only 12,000 miles on it, and
it's very similar to the one
that the legendary Junior
Johnson used to drive when
he ran moonshine years ago
down home.
Remember Glen
"Fireball" Roberts
driving the Holman
Moody #22?
Somebody tell Larry Greener to check and see if his "Judge" is still out in the
shed.  Might be here, near Dick Landy's Dodge that burned up many of the
country's drag strips.
The "Vanishing Point" Dodge
from Jay's brother Chuck's
favorite movie, and one of
ours, as well.
Muscle cars aplenty, and other memories of a bygone era.
What a marvelous time for a couple of gearheads like
us.  If you're ever in Sevierville, stop in and spend a
couple of hours.  Thank you, Floyd, for keeping these
incredible cars and our memories of them alive for us.
How about that juke
box!  And, yep, a real
old fashioned phone
booth.  Didn't find
any of Clark Kent's
clothes in it, though.
